The Marienkirche is Rostock's Protestant-Lutheran main church and a major work of northern German brick Gothic architecture. The church contains one of the larger organs in Germany and especially in Germany north regions. It is an 83 stop instrument. The organ awaits a major overhaul whilst funding is still not there.
